SHARPSBURG- A 40-year-old car and a portion of a nearby garage look to be complete losses following a fire inside the vehicle on Tuesday.
Calls came into 911 and first responders around 3pm on Tuesday, March 24th for a reported vehicle/garage fire in the 17,600 block of Millers Sawmill Road in southern Washington County. Crews from Sharpsburg and Potomac Valley would respond to find smoke showing from all four sides of the multi-car garage with a vehicle on fire inside of it. A second engine would be brought in to establish a water supply.
The fire would be knocked down and controlled within about 15 minutes, but not before causing about $5,000 in damage to the structure and $20,000 to its contents. Those contents included a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix…
