Better-Maid Donut Co., the tiny institution that once drew bleary-eyed, early-morning lines in Crafton Heights, is back in business on a new stretch of asphalt. The long-running shop has quietly reopened at 2101 Greentree Road in Scott Township, returning after a temporary shutdown in the summer of 2025 tied to a landlord dispute at its Steuben Street location. Following months of build-out, the new storefront is again turning out the shop’s signature cake and filled donuts to a neighborhood that had been waiting.
Owner Drew Turner, who took over Better-Maid in 2024, called the Scott Township spot “great” and praised the parking and “wonderful neighbors.” Those comments were first published by the Pittsburgh Business Times and republished by WPXI.
