A man was shot in Clairton on Tuesday evening and later taken to a hospital, according to police, after gunfire broke out on a residential stretch of Vankirk Street. Officers were called to the 800 block at about 6:50 p.m. and found shell casings in the street. The victim later arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder and is in stable condition. No arrests have been reported.
Police Say Argument Escalated Into Gunfire
According to WPXI, Allegheny County police say their initial investigation indicates the shooting started with an argument that escalated. Officers recovered shell casings at the scene but did not find anyone wounded there. A man showed up at a hospital a short time later with a shoulder injury.
