Family of man who slammed into illegally parked tractor trailers outside Pittsburgh suing Canadian drivers & companies

The family of a motorist who was killed after crashing into two tractor trailers illegally parked on the side of a Pennsylvania highway is suing the Canadian drivers and trucking companies for the accident.

Kathy Brown of Edgewater, Florida filed the suit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania court on Wednesday, May 6th on behalf of her 37-year-old son, Travis Brown, who was killed on October 15th, 2025.

According to TribLive, Brown was driving a Ford Explorer north on Interstate 79 at around 3:09 a.m. when he struck a tractor trailer parked illegally on the shoulder of the interstate. Bown’s vehicle then spun and struck the rear of the second tractor trailer, which was also illegally parked. Brown died at the scene, and a passenger in his vehicle was seriously hurt…
