New Hot Chicken Spot Turns Up the Heat in Plano

North Texas’ hunger for spicy chicken isn’t slowing down, and Plano welcomed another contender to the growing hot chicken scene.

Lava Hot Chicken opened a new restaurant at 3933 North Central Expressway, Ste. 100, in Plano, introducing its halal-certified menu of crispy tenders, wings, and sliders to Plano and other area diners. The location marks the brand’s expansion beyond its original Rowlett restaurant and brings its signature combination of customizable heat levels and comfort-food favorites to Collin County.

The superstars of the menu are hand-breaded chicken and signature lava sauce in five spice levels, allowing guests to choose anything from a mild bite to an intensely fiery flavor. The restaurant’s lineup includes lava chunks and jumbo chicken tenders served with crinkle-cut fries and Texas toast, as well as Nashville-inspired sliders topped with pickles, creamy slaw, and the house-made Lava Sauce.
