Even with a loss in Week 3, the Cowboys will be fine

The Dallas Cowboys came down to earth on Sunday in a lopsided 44-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Dallas began their season with a 33-17 road win in Cleveland, and they will be put to the test by another AFC North team in Week 3 when the Baltimore Ravens come to town.

Baltimore is surprisingly 0-2 after they blew a fourth-quarter lead to the Las Vegas Raiders at home in Week 2. They also lost on opening night in Kansas City to the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs.

Baltimore will certainly be desperate to avoid an 0-3 start, as that will give them an incredibly difficult hole to climb out of. However, even if Dallas does drop a second straight game, they’ll be in good shape.

Look at their schedule compared to the Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas has a Week 4 matchup with the New York Giants – a game they will very likely win. The next three games do get chippy, though, They’ll travel to Pittsburgh before hosting the Detroit Lions and then going back on the road for a game against the San Francisco 49ers. That’s somewhat of a murderer’s row of teams, but the slate the Eagles have in front of them is even more difficult.
