Plano is set to see its first battery-powered home. Since 2023, Austin-based company Base Power has distributed battery storage for customers and the Texas grid, with the mission to unlock reliable and affordable energy for Texans. Their service supports the grid during times of peak need and protects customers during outages, for up to 97% of the hour’s customers experience without power.
