2 Denton women sentenced to federal prison for roles in fatal fentanyl overdose

DENTON COUNTY, Texas — United States District Judge Amos Mazzant sentenced two Denton County women to more than 19 years in federal prison for their roles in a 2023 deadly fentanyl overdose.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Tiffane Chantial Volz, 37, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl. The attorney’s office said she was sentenced to 235 months in federal prison.

The attorney’s office said co-defendant Courtney Green, 28, pleaded guilty to the same charges and was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison on Jan. 30…
