‘People were just being trampled over,’ Little Rock mom speaks about false alarm at Dallas cheerleading competition

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Cheer chants turned into chaotic screaming at the National Cheerleader’s Association All-Star Championship on Saturday, March 1.

The competition in Dallas took a turn when, police said a fight broke out, causing poles to fall and loud noises to erupt.

Robyn Brown from Little Rock was at the competition with her 9-year-old daughter. She said she heard commotion and saw people running.

“All you could hear were people screaming and crying,” Brown said. “I was over my daughter, shielding her under a table.”…
