Two Arrested for Murder in Denton Fentanyl Overdose Case

The Denton Police Department has arrested a Dallas man and woman for Murder following an investigation into a fatal fentanyl overdose.

On December 27, 2024, Denton Police and Fire responded to a residence in the 2200 block of W. Hickory Street for an overdose call. A woman, identified as 34-year-old Amber Morris, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

During the investigation, detectives determined that 29-year-old Taylor Lambert and 38-year-old Matthew “Hunter” Clark had sold fentanyl to Morris the evening before her death. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled her cause of death as fentanyl bromazolam and diazepam toxicity…
