DALLAS — Five people were killed and others were injured in a fatal seven-vehicle crash near Dallas on Saturday.
According to a report from the Dallas Morning News, the Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened on Interstate-20 near Terrell, 36 miles east of Dallas, after the driver of a semi-truck, Alexis Osmani Gonzalez-Companioni, fell asleep while driving.
Officials say Gonzalez-Companioni, 27, crashed into a Ford F-150 carrying five people and hit two other semi-trucks. One of the semi-trucks jackknifed and hit a Honda, a Ford Mustang and a Jeep Compass…
