Cedar Hill police pursuit ends in fatal officer-involved shooting

CEDAR HILL, Texas — A vehicle pursuit initiated by Cedar Hill police on Thursday afternoon ended in a fatal officer-involved shooting in Dallas. The suspect, believed to be impaired, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident began around 2:00 p.m. on July 3, 2025, when Cedar Hill Police officers attempted to stop a driver in the 700 block of Highway 67. The suspect fled, leading officers on a pursuit that continued into Dallas, according to a press release from the Cedar Hill Police Department.
