Crash involving overturned semi-truck shuts down I-45 heading toward Dallas

ELLIS COUNTY, Texas — A crash involving a semi-truck shut down northbound lanes of Interstate 45 south of Dallas on Friday morning, officials said.

Texas Department of Transportation cameras at 5 a.m. showed the northbound lanes were completely closed at Parker Hill Road in Ellis County. The crash reportedly happened before midnight but crews were still trying to flip over a semi-truck at the scene of the crash as the morning rush hour approached.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office said a semi-truck pulling a trailer overturned in the crash, and two people were trapped inside. One victim was rescued from the truck quickly, while the second person required “an extended rescue,” officials said…
