DALLAS, Texas – A shooting at 6:40 a.m. on September 24, 2025, left two detainees dead and one critically injured after 29-year-old Joshua Jahn opened fire from a nearby rooftop on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Dallas facility. Joshua Jahn was also pronounced dead from a self-inflicted bullet to the head.
Jahn was seen driving into the area at about 3 a.m. with a large ladder atop his vehicle, which is believed to have been used to climb to the roof of a nearby building. He then opened fire at around 6:30 a.m. using a legally obtained bolt-action rifle he purchased in August 2025.
In the hours following the shooting, investigators located several shell casings with anti-ICE messages written on them. According to a statement from the Department of Homeland Security, “The shooter fired indiscriminately at the ICE building, including at a van in the sallyport where the victims were shot.” While no ICE agents were injured, Joseph Rothrock, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Dallas Field Office, claims that multiple shots were fired in the windows of the office building…
