2 people and a dog rescued amid apartment fire in Dallas, officials say

DALLAS — Crews rescued two people and a dog from an apartment building in Dallas amid a fire Wednesday, officials say.

Dallas Fire-Rescue was called to the fire at the apartment complex in the 2400 block of Bahama Drive shortly before noon Wednesday, Oct. 10, and crews found black smoke coming from a first-floor apartment, according to a press release.

Firefighters entered the apartment where the fire originated, then found and quickly extinguished the fire, which appeared to have started near a closet, officials say. There was one person in that apartment, but they got out before Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived, a press release stated…
