Men who fired guns off Dallas highway bridge during New Year’s Eve celebration arrested, police say

DALLAS — Two men accused of firing guns off an Interstate 30 bridge during a crowded New Year’s Eve celebration in Dallas have been arrested, police said Thursday.

Police released video that showed two different men firing a weapon off a bridge as people gathered on I-30 to watch New Year’s Eve fireworks in Downtown Dallas. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Anthony Acevedo, 20, and Jose Alarcon-Sanchez, 18, both of Grand Prairie, were arrested on charges of firing a gun within a municipality, Dallas Deputy Police Chief William Griffith said. Acevedo has posted bond. Alarcon-Sanchez has an immigration hold and remains in custody, Griffith said…
