A Dallas County juvenile court judge delivered a true finding and imposed the maximum allowable sentence of 40 years in prison in a capital murder case involving a 13-year-old defendant.
The case stemmed from a number of violent offenses committed by the juvenile previous to the capital murder, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery in separate places. After three days of testimony, the judge found the allegations to be true and entered a guilty adjudication.
