While financial stress is being felt nationwide as unemployment grows and inflation swells, no state is feeling the burden more than Texas.
It dominates a new WalletHub ranking of financial distress among residents of the 100 largest U.S. cities, with four metros in the Lone Star State taking top 10 spots. It found Houston is the nation’s second-most financially distressed major city, Dallas was No. 4, San Antonio No. 6 and Austin No. 9.
