Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback names police officer Sean Lozano as running

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback has named South Florida police officer Sean Lozano as his running mate, tapping the Lauderhill Police Department veteran to join the ticket as the campaign’s choice for Florida’s next lieutenant governor.

Lozano most recently served with the Lauderhill Police Department, where he worked violent crime and narcotics cases. Fishback said Lozano was named Officer of the Quarter in 2025 for taking “dangerous offenders off the street.”

Fishback said he chose Lozano because he wants “a trained law enforcement officer” at his side to continue Gov.
