Beloved Florida steakhouse closes after 18 years as rent dispute ends long run

A longtime fixture of Delray Beach’s dining scene has closed its doors after nearly two decades in business.

Cut 432, an upscale steakhouse located on Atlantic Avenue, ceased operations at the end of April after serving customers for 18 years. The restaurant had become one of the area’s most recognizable dining destinations, known for its prime steaks, extensive wine program, and lively atmosphere. The restaurant was opened by Modern Restaurant Group and was the company’s first establishment.

The closure marks another loss for Florida’s restaurant industry, which has faced mounting pressures from rising costs, labor challenges, and increasing occupancy expenses.

According to reports, the primary factor behind the closure was a significant rent increase sought by the property’s landlord.
