Flash flood warning is issued for parts of South Florida

A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of South Florida, the National Weather Service said Sunday afternoon.

The warning, which includes Coral Springs, Sunrise and Tamarac, is expected to last until 4 p.m.

Earlier this afternoon, the weather service said, “We are up to *THREE* ongoing Flood Advisories across metro Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Definitely not ideal weather to be driving in, take extra caution.”

The advisories issued earlier in the day included parts of northern Broward and southern Palm Beach County.

It’s been a soggy day, drenching Florida Panthers fans during Sunday’s parade and festivities in Fort Lauderdale.
