A Fort Lauderdale Museum Got a Refund After Florida Deleted Its LGBTQ+ Tourism Website

An LGBTQ+ history museum in Fort Lauderdale has received a refund from Florida’s official tourism website after the state deleted a page for LGBTQ+ visitors late last month. A spokesperson for the Stonewall National Museum, Archives & Library told local ABC affiliate WPLG on Thursday that the organization received a refund after previously expressing anger over the money it had paid to be featured on the since-deleted page VisitFlorida.com, an online tourism resource funded through a public-private partnership with state businesses. The museum is the largest LGBTQ+ collection in the world, according to its official website.
