Tyreek Hill’s detention prior to the Miami Dolphins’ season opener on Sunday has caused a stir both within the NFL and beyond, with the prominent wide receiver now demanding action.
Hill was stopped while en route to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on Sunday. The confrontation, captured on a police officer’s body camera and released on Monday, depicts Hill, aged 30, being forcefully extracted from his vehicle, pushing to the ground, and handcuffed.
Additionally, the Miami-Dade Police Department released two citations given to Hill: one for careless driving, noting a “high rate of speed visual estimation 60 mph,” and another for failure to wear a seat belt.
Hill decided to issue a statement on Tuesday night through his attorney, Julius Collins, making a clear demand following these events.
