Two cited in fish cases

Two Miami-Dade County men recently received mandatory notices to appear in court citations for harvesting a litany of various undersized and over-the-limit fish.

Islamorada Marine Deputy Jason Farr was on patrol near the Whale Harbor Bridge the morning of Sept. 28 when he observed two men fishing, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Adam Linhardt.

Upon inspecting their catch, Daimel Del Toro Garica, 38 of Hialeah, was cited for reportedly possessing 17 undersized mangrove snapper, 12 over the bag limit snapper, and five undersized schoolmaster snapper. Alberto Milanes Cardona, of Homestead, was cited for reportedly possessing two undersized mangrove snapper and fishing without a license, Linhardt said.
