Boynton Beach police arrest career offender for kidnapping

BOYNTON BEACH, Florida – A 71-year-old man was arrested for kidnapping a 24-year-old woman with an intellectual disability, according to the Boynton Beach Police Department. The incident occurred Friday afternoon near South Seacrest Boulevard.Officers responded to reports of a possible abduction around 2:30 p.m. and determined the woman had left her residence in an SUV with an unknown male. Witnesses identified the man as Alvin Gayle, who was working with a road construction crew near the victim’s residence, stated the department.Gayle informed officers via phone that he was with the victim at his doctor’s appointment in West Palm Beach. He and the victim were located at the doctor’s office by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Boynton Beach police officers.The investigation revealed Gayle intended to have sex with the victim and was aware of her intellectual disability.
