Florida Bookkeeper Arrested for Stealing Over $200K from Farm Machinery Business

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Gail Yvonne Young , 59, of Altha, on charges of grand theft over $100,000, a first-degree felony. Young, who worked as a bookkeeper for a local farm machinery business, is accused of fraudulently paying herself more than $202,700 beyond her normal salary.

The investigation began on December 5, 2024, after business owners reported concerns that Young had been engaged in a scheme to defraud the company. An audit conducted by the company’s accounting firm identified unauthorized payments made to Young.
