BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The grades are in for Broward County Public Schools’ top educators for 2025.
The red carpet was rolled out during the 2025 Caliber Awards on Friday, when the district recognized the Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year and School-Related Employee of the year.
Sheneka Blue from Oriole Elementary School was recognized as Principal of the Year. Her staff reached out to Local 10 last Fall to say just how proud they are to have her. During Ms. Blue’s time at Oriole Elementary, a Title I school, its overall grade from the school district went from a “D” to a “B.” Every Wednesday at 7 p.m., she reads books to her students using the school’s Facebook page.
