Three months after Griffin Middle School Principal Zelena O’Banner was placed on paid administrative leave , she quit to avoid termination, according to the Leon County school district.
An allegation of financial misconduct prompted a district investigation from December through late February, a spokesperson confirmed. O’Banner’s resignation was effective Feb. 25.
Details behind the allegation were not released. O’Banner could not be reached. A public records request related to the investigation has been submitted to the Leon County School District.
