‘I just want to be with my family:’ Man who shot ex-fiancée walks out of a jail a free man

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A South Florida man acquitted in the shooting of his ex-fiancée was released from jail early Thursday morning and exclusively spoke with Local 10 News following a second acquittal in connection with a separate domestic violence case.

Gayle Blount, 55, was released from the North Broward Bureau jail in Pompano Beach around 3:30 a.m.

He spoke to Local 10, saying he plans to spend time with his family after spending four years behind bars while awaiting his two trials…
