BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Palm Beach County middle school teacher must not have known that a district police officer could tell him not do something illegal.
The teacher allegedly did not believe the officer – who has the same police powers of other law enforcement officials – also could detain him. It was that second false belief that landed him behind bars.
An arrest report identified the teacher as Alan Toribio and stated he was booked on a count of resisting an officer. The Lantana Middle School teacher has since bonded out of the Palm Beach County jail and is welcome back into the classroom…
