Cement truck plunges into canal off Turnpike in Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A cement truck fell off the northbound Turnpike into a canal in Boca Raton, prompting a rescue mission and leaving the driver with serious injuries.

The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) said that they were called to a crash near Exit 75, Glades Road, on the northbound Turnpike on Thursday morning at 6:22 a.m.

When PBCFR arrived, they reported finding a cement truck that had veered off the road and into a nearby canal, with the rear axle visible but the front end completely submerged in five to ten feet of water…
