WESTON, Fla. (CBS12) — A motorcycle burst into flames and sparked a grass fire after two riders crashed while racing on U.S. Highway 27, killing one man and seriously injuring another.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) said the crash happened around 4:36 p.m. on June 29 near 4400 U.S. Highway 27. BSO investigators say 63-year-old Mario Vasquez and 35-year-old Asiel Mena-Echevarria, both from Hialeah, were speeding northbound on separate motorcycles when they sideswiped each other.
