Families Explore Street Art and Storytime During Graffiti-Themed Family Day at Coral Springs Museum of Art

Parents and their children enjoyed learning about graffiti art during Family Day at the Coral Springs Museum of Art on July 19.

Evelina Lynn, who teaches painting at the Museum’s summer camp and offers private painting lessons, led a group of children and parents in a short class on creating graffiti art. They were given crayons and paper and encouraged to create their graffiti.

“Graffiti is about street art and is often tough edge. I want people to express their feelings when creating street art,” said Lynn.

Isabel Valverrami brought her granddaughter, Elena Jaeger, to the event, and they worked together to create graffiti art. “This was a very positive experience for us,” said Isabel.

Families could enjoy the museum’s new exhibit, “Style Masters: A Look at the Best of American Graffiti.”…
