Undersized Catch Leads to Citation for Hialeah Angler
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A Hialeah man found himself on the wrong side of fishing regulations Sunday morning after being cited for possessing an undersized mangrove snapper in Islamorada.
Alain Rodriguez Pozo, 35, was issued a mandatory notice to appear citation by Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Marine Deputy Nelson Sanchez. The incident occurred at approximately 8:49 a.m. near Mile Marker 86, when Deputy Sanchez, on routine patrol, observed Rodriguez Pozo harvest the illegal fish.
