VIDEO: Jet overruns runway in Florida, nearly hits busy road before safety system deployed

BOCA RATON, Fla. (WFLA) — A small jet came close to traveling onto a busy road next to the Boca Raton Airport Wednesday but was stopped short thanks to a special safety system.

Video released by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) showed the private plane, a Bombardier Challenger 300, coming to an abrupt stop after it overshot the runway.
