Authorities responded to a group home in Oakland Park nearly 40 times in the past year before a 14-year-old was stabbed to death by another teen at the house, new records show.
The family of 14-year-old Jordan Dowdy said he lived at the foster home on Northeast 3rd Avenue for about two months before he was stabbed to death on Aug. 25.
Another teen, 16-year-old Ruben Whitworth, is facing a second-degree murder charge in the stabbing and is being charged as an adult.
