Newly-released cockpit transcripts from a fatal 2024 plane crash reveal that the pilots were aware of their horrific fate, with one saying, “We’re not gonna make the runway.”
The transcript, obtained by Fort-Myers News Press from the National Transportation Safety Board, was the final conversation between pilots Edward Daniels Murphy, 50, of Oakland Park, and Ian Fredrick Hofmann, 65, of Pompano Beach, before their plane crashed into Florida’s Interstate 75.
