Broward County Animal Care is putting a Halloween twist on its weekly adoption spotlight, introducing Boo and Ghost — two lovable pets hoping to find their forever homes.
Boo (A2447961) is a 1-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a striking black-and-white coat. He was found as a stray near a bus terminal in Lauderhill and brought to Animal Care when his owner could not be located. Despite not being reclaimed, Boo remains cheerful and affectionate, always ready for cuddles and attention. Shelter staff say he loves being petted but gets playful around cleaning tools and may try to chase them. Boo is eager to start fresh with a family who will give him the love and stability he deserves.
Ghost (A2446118) is a 3-year-old white and tabby Domestic Shorthair cat with a calm and gentle personality. His journey has been more difficult — surrendered after his owner died and later returned when he was discovered to be FIV positive. Animal Care staff emphasize that FIV-positive cats like Ghost can live long, healthy lives with proper care and that the risk of transmission to other cats is low. Ghost enjoys lounging in sunny spots and receiving soft head rubs, making him an ideal companion for a quiet and loving home…
