Relief flight crashes into Florida neighborhood on way to Jamaica for Hurricane Melissa clean up

A SMALL plane has crashed into a backyard while en route to provide relief for victims of Hurricane Melissa.

The plane crashed into a man-made lake in Coral Springs, Florida, outside Fort Lauderdale, on the morning of Monday, November 10.

The plane – a Beechcraft King Air twin-turboprop – clipped the tops of trees and a fence in a Coral Springs resident’s backyard before crashing into the small pond, according to CBS News.

The flight was en route to Jamaica to deliver relief in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, according to a spokesperson for Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport…
