Coral Springs Commission to Vote on $3.4 Million Contract for Build-Out of New Coral Springs Museum of Art

Coral Springs officials are moving forward with plans to relocate and build out a new home for the Coral Springs Museum of Art, recommending a $3,427,180 construction contract with Daniel O’Connell’s Sons, Inc. of Holyoke, Massachusetts, according to a city memo. City commissioners are scheduled to vote on the contract at Wednesday’s meeting.

The contract covers the full interior build-out of the museum’s new 8,000-square-foot gallery and offices inside the Cornerstone development at the southwest corner of Sample Road and University Drive. The project will relocate the museum from its current home at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, where the museum will still maintain space.

Funding for the build-out will come from the city’s approved Capital Budget, the memo states…
