Meet Broward County Animal Care’s Pets of the Week: Missy and DJ Qualls

Broward County Animal Care is spotlighting two affectionate American Staffordshire Terrier mixes as its Pets of the Week, both ready to find loving homes in time for the holidays.

Missy, a 5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix, has come a long way since she was discovered in August inside a stolen vehicle along with three other dogs. Never reclaimed, Missy quickly proved to be an all-around standout. Staff and volunteers describe her as sweet, affectionate, and highly social with other dogs. She also excelled at a recent busy community event filled with families and children.

Shelter staff say Missy is ideal for an active household and easily keeps up with any adventure. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and available with waived adoption fees — adopters need only pay the $25 Broward County pet registration fee…
