Island Water Sports, a family-owned surf shop, has reopened in Pompano Beach. City officials attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the company’s new location in the Fishing Village. The business was originally founded by Kirk Cottrell in the late 1970s.
The move was supported by a grant from the Pompano Beach CRA. The grant helped the business secure new signage through the Minor Commercial Exterior Improvement Program.
