The City of Oakland Park recently held its annual event to recognize volunteers who have contributed to the community. The event acknowledged individuals and groups who support city programs and help improve life for residents.
The LGA Class of 2010 received the Volunteer Team of the Year award. For 15 years, led by Commissioner Tim Lonergan, the group has managed the Adopt-A-Street project to help keep Oakland Park clean. Their work demonstrates ongoing community involvement.
