Oakland Park Woman Accused of Administering Illegal Cosmetic Procedures from Home

An Oakland Park woman, Megan Lynn Whitcomb, 35, was recently taken into custody for allegedly providing illegal cosmetic procedures from her home. According to NBC Miami’s report, Whitcomb is accused of administering multiple rounds of cosmetic injectables without a license, leading to severe complications for at least one of her patients. The same patient ended up in extreme pain with injuries so serious that hospitalization was required.

The victim reportedly paid approximately $5,000 for buttock injections, which Whitcomb administered over three sessions starting in 2024. Describing the experience, the victim said sessions lasted up to 12 hours, and the pain was like being “stabbed.” In the incident that unraveled the operation, undercover detectives from the Florida Department of Health alleged the makeshift clinic was unsterilized and equipped with expired and prescription-only substances—as detailed by an arrest affidavit obtained by Local 10 News.

During one procedure, the victim was given a pill and a substance described as “rock crystal,” which did not relieve the pain. The victim told Local 10 News, “I feel like they were drugs because I’ve never taken anything that looks like that or tasted like that.” Doctors later discovered foreign substances, including tap water and baby oil, in the victim’s body…
