Motorcyclist dies 2 weeks after deputy pursuit, taser attempt, in Lantana

LANTANA, Fla. (CBS12) — A 27-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash that occurred two weeks prior, involving a pursuit with deputies in Palm Beach County.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office crash report, on April 9, Stanley Jacques was riding his motorcycle near Hypoluxo Road and Sea Pines Way in Lantana when he reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign. The report states that as he made a right turn onto Hypoluxo Road, he collided with an SUV traveling in the inside lane, resulting in a violent crash that threw him off his bike.

Eyewitness video obtained by CBS12 shows a dramatic sequence where Jacques sped away from a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputy who was attempting to deploy a Taser during the chase. Just moments later, he crashed into a white Volkswagen SUV, leading to serious injuries…
