A Florida care manager is accused of siphoning nearly $100,000 from the bank accounts of two dementia patients under her care to pay her personal credit card bills.
West Palm Beach police say Megan Elizabeth Bernat, 46, of Port St. Lucie used her MorseLife case-manager access to push mobile payments from residents’ accounts onto her Capital One card, reports the Miami Herald.
Detectives say 55 payments totaling about $68,540 left one woman’s TD Bank account for Bernat’s card between February of 2023 and June of 2025…
