FWC: During this week’s record-setting rainfall and flooding in Brevard and St. Lucie counties, FWC officers conducted hundreds of rescues, welfare checks, and evacuations, helping numerous residents and their pets reach safety. Our officers’ training and use of specialized equipment, including airboats, shallow-water vessels, swamp buggies, aircraft, and reconnaissance drones, allow them to navigate challenging conditions, reach otherwise inaccessible areas, and assist communities during emergencies.
