FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) – A hit-and-run in Fort Pierce left a family devastated, wondering who would hit their loved one and leave him on the side of the road. Jacob Schmitz, 36, remains in a medically induced coma after he was struck by a car while walking on Juanita Avenue last Friday night.
