Vero Beach High School linebacker Tarvos Alford ranks as the No. 70 prospect in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He reduced his recruitment to six schools on Friday afternoon: Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee, and UCF. Alford will commit on March 30 and decide between one of these programs. Tennessee recently paid him a visit at school to check in on him.
“Overall, it was great to speak with Coach [Josh] Heupel and Coach [Brian Jean-Mary] in person,” Alford said of his visit with Tennessee’s staff. “Their pitch to me was that I needed to be a Vol and that I could help them as much as they could help me.”
Following the short time with Tennessee , Alford was asked if it happened to help Tennessee’s case and how much of a factor it would play in his recruitment moving forward. “It definitely moved their stock up. I feel like it’s special when the main man comes to visit you,” the talented linebacker stated . He was also asked how Tennessee makes him feel and where they currently stand in recruitment. The Florida defensive standout says, “Definitely a top school at this point in my recruitment. They do make me feel like a priority because they stay in contact with me, trying to get over there. Coach Heupel texts me almost every morning!”
