TAMPA (WFLA) — An Olympic horse trainer is under investigation for alleged animal abuse.
NBC affiliate WPTV said Cesar Parra, a horse trainer in Jupiter Farms, has been suspended by the International Federation of Equestrian Sports (FEI) after several riders alleged they witnessed the abuse on videos posted to social media.

A video showing a man who appeared to be Parra whipping several horses on his property was sent to WPTV.
In a statement sent to the station, the FEI said in part:
The FEI confirms that dressage athlete Cesar Parra has been immediately provisionally suspended while the FEI investigates the disturbing and abhorrent images and videos in relation to his training techniques that have recently emerged.
